The Active Living Workgroup uses the Results-Based Accountability (RBA) framework to guide planning and action.
Our goal: Cleveland County will be a community that creates equitable and safe opportunities for active living for all people.
Current Initiatives
- Find A Park, Track, Trail or Playground online resource.
- Walk Audit in Kingstown: Assessed walkability using AARP tools.
- Diabetes Prevention Programs: Free evidence-based programs offered through Washington Outreach Ministry, the health department and the YMCA.
- Pedestrian & Bicycle Safety: In partnership with Safe Kids Cleveland County, we educate families on safe walking and biking practices.
